NetHold Privacy Policy

What NetHold does
NetHold helps Shopify merchants manage overdue net-terms invoices. It reads open orders that have payment terms, works out which customers are overdue, tags those customers in Shopify, and blocks new checkouts for them.
Data we process
- Shopify shop domain and an app access token (to call the Shopify API on the merchant's behalf).
- Opaque customer IDs, order IDs and order names, payment due dates, and outstanding amounts.
- The merchant's NetHold settings (grace period, minimum amount, checkout message).
We do not store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers or addresses, and we do not sell or share data with third parties. We use the data only to provide the features described above.
Retention and deletion
Open-order records are removed when an order is paid or closed, and after 90 days without update. Released holds are removed after 90 days and audit log entries after 180 days. See /security for details.
Data is kept while the app is installed. When Shopify notifies us of a shop or customer redaction request, we delete the related records. Uninstalling the app removes stored access tokens immediately.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on an encrypted disk provided by our hosting provider. Access is limited to the app developer, and processing of customer identifiers is recorded in an audit log. Our terms and data processing addendum are at /terms.
